
The Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup has been supporting the FIA Formula One World Championship since 1993 and in 2009 will be held at 11 Formula One events world-wide.
As such it is a high profile event; for 2008 an average of 150,000 spectators attended the Grand Prix circuits alone. With over 690 reports and 165 hours of television broadcast, the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup reaches more than 25.5 million viewers worldwide.
The races run over a distance of approx. 70 km. This distance is converted into a number of laps, as indicated for each event.

Pole earns the driver an additional two championship points. |
Team ranking is independent of the driver ranking. The points of two vehicles for the same team are added together. Where there are more than two vehicles per entrant licence, the results of the two best drivers are counted.
